Record Store Day in the U.K. was a roaring success with sales up 16% year-on-year to reach 60k album sales and 30k singles, according to Official Chart Company data. David Bowie, Arcade Fire and Pink Floyd topped the best sellers list.

Bowie’s three-LP set Welcome to the Blackout – Live in London (Parlophone) was the most popular release, followed by Arcade Fire's self-titled EP demo (Legacy/Sony Music).

Pink Floyd were third place with their self-released The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (Mono), followed by Bowie again at #4 with Now (Parlophone). (He also had the #9 entry). The National took fifth place with Boxer (Live In Brussels) (4AD).
