After six years of hosting the Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 1, Nick Grimshaw, also known as "Grimmy," is stepping out of the morning show slot. The second longest running breakfast show host in BBC Radio 1 history, Grimshaw's now moving to the 4-7pm rush hour slot and the promise of a much more agreeable wake-up call.
Former rush hour host, Greg James, will be filling in on the morning show, with claims that he's "not doing the show for critics."
"I've had jet lag for six years. It has been a ride, but now I feel slightly sick, so we need to get off the ride," said Grimshaw when James joined him in the studio 5/31. Check out more on the announcement, from the horse's mouth, below.
“It was always my dream to do the breakfast show and I’m very grateful that I got to live my dream every day for what will be nearly 6 years. But 6 years is a long time and this isn’t a forever job. I had the time of my life"
