To commemorate Billie Holiday's 100th birthday, the legendary Apollo Theatre inducted her into its Hall of Fame on 4/6. Seen during the induction are (top, l-r) Rick Nuhn, Dr. Lester W. Young, Jr. and Bicycle Music managing partner/Holiday estate rep Steven Salm; (bottom, l-r) Legacy Records prexy Adam Block, Apollo president Jonelle Procope and singer Cassandra Wilson.

The event just happens to coincide with the release of Wilson's Coming Forth by Day (Ojah/Legacy), which boasts a pretty thrilling set of Holiday tunes, with boundary-pushing production by Nick Launay.
