CROSSOVER
It’s been quite a start to the year for Columbia; Ayelet Schiffman and James White have been red-hot since the start. Beyoncé f/Jay Z’s “Drunk in Love” could be #1 by this time next week—or in two weeks, at most. It was up over 800 spins this week, good enough for the #1 increase. They also have J Cole’s “She Knows” closing in on the Top 10, as well as John Legend’s “All of Me” vaulting #31-22, increasing 337 spins. Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” is also on fire, climbing 12 spots to #24 after just two weeks on the chart. It was up 721 spins, giving Columbia the week’s top two gainers. They round out their success with Calvin Harris f/Ayah Marar’s “Thinking About You” at #30 and DJ Snake & Lil Jon’s “Turn Down for What” at #33, gaining 270 spins. Daft Punk’s new track “Give Life Back to Music” and DJ Cassidy f/Robin Thicke & Jessie J’s “Calling All Hearts” are going for airplay now. It’s great to see all the hard work and setup come together… RCA still holds down the #1 slot with Kid Ink f/Chris Brown’s “Show Me,” as well as the #4 position with Pitbull f/Ke$ha’s “Timber.” They also have Chris Brown f/Lil Wayne’s “Loyal,” which bounds #24-17, adding 450 spins this week. And look for Shakira f/Rihanna’s “Can’t Remember to Forget You” to debut big next week. It’s at #41, up 121 spins… Republic’s Gary Spangler, Davey Dee and Stef Cole are firing on all cylinders with Drake’s “The Language” going Top 10, SoMo’s “Ride” jumping #16-13 and up over 200 spins, Lorde’s “Team” exploding #22-15 with an insane increase of over 600 spins, and Sage the Gemini’s “Red Nose” gaining over 400 spins and sitting at #19. They also have Martin Garrix’s “Animals” just outside the chart… IDJ’s Rick Sackhiem, Noah Sheer and Scott Maness have a blazing-hot YG f/Jeezy &Rich Homie Quan’s “My Hitta” at #6 this week, up 435 spins. They debut Jhene Aiko’s “The Worst” this week, increasing triple digits and getting new supporters each week, and also debut Jay Z f/Beyoncé’s “Part II (On the Run)” at #38. Rick Ross f/Jay Z’s “The Devil Is a Lie” continues to build each week and is now just outside the chart. Two new ones were released in the last week, Ludacris f/Wiz Khalifa, Jeremih & Cashmere Cat’s “Party Girls” and Afrojack f/Wrabel’s “Ten Feet Tall.” Both are impacting in the next few weeks. There’s also YG’s follow-up, featuring Drake, “Who Do You Love,” which is sure to continue his success at the format… Warner Bros. and Lee L’Heureux continue to drive Jason Derulo f/2 Chainz’ “Talk Dirty” to the top. It jumps #17-11, adding over 500 spins… Childish Gambino’s “3005” (Glassnote) continues to make its way into some mix shows and rotation. Make sure you spend some time with this, as it could be a secret-weapon song… Epic is off to a great start with Kat Dhalia’s “Crazy.” It impacted last week and should be on the chart in the next two. It was up 125 spins this week.
