CROSSOVER
It continues to be an Urban-heavy Top 10 on the chart, dominated by the likes of Drake, Jay Z, J Cole, Big Sean and Eminem—only Katy Perry and Lorde represent the Rhythm/Top 40 sides. The middle of the chart, however, is much more balanced, with Macklemore, Ariana Grande, Avicii, Miley Cyrus and Justin Timberlake adding the much-needed pop sound… RCA records has two of the three most increased records this week, as Justin Timberlake’s “TKO” jumps #33-24 and is up 518 spins, and Chris Brown’s “Love More” goes #6-4, up 389 spins. Even more impressive, the Chris Brown track has been on the chart for 11 weeks. John Strazza, Inca, and Lori G also have Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” smashing its way from #35 to #26, gaining 242 spins. They also debut T Pain’s “Up Down” at #38, with a 182-spin spike. Britney Spears’ “Work Bitch” sits at #42, Kid Ink’s “Show Me” is at #47 and they just released Pitbull f/Ke$ha’s new track, “Timber” … The #1 increased record again belongs to Lorde. “Royals” jumps to #8 and is up 622 spins. Republic’s Gary Spangler and Davey Dee certainly have their hands full, as they still have the #1 record in the land with Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home.” Ariana Grande f/Big Sean “Right There” is at #13, and also among the greatest gainers, Sage the Gemini’s “Gas Pedal is at #14, with an increase of 233 spins. “All Me” Drake f/2 Chainz and Big Sean’is at #28, and DJ Khaled’s “I Wanna Be With You” debuts at #36, up 56 spins. They’re impacting Sia f/The Weeknd and Diplo “Elastic Heart” from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Soundtrack… Rick Sackhiem, Noah Sheer and Scott Maness, the IDJ contingency, also continue their winning ways, as they have Big Sean’s “Beware” at #5, still up 232 spins. Avicii’s “Wake Me Up” jumps #18-15, increasing 270 spins. August Alsina’s “I Luv This Sh*t” is up 360 spins, good for #16 (look out for the remix, which features Trey Songz and Chris Brown). Rich Homie Quan’s “Type of Way” is up over 200 spins and sits at #19. In addition, Jay Z’s new “Tom Ford” moves #30-25, up 326 spins, and they debut Rihanna’s “What Now” at #33. One of the biggest buzz records also belongs to them: Maejor Ali’s “Lolly,” which features Juicy J and Justin Bieber, is up 100 spins, with new stations coming on board each week… Ayelet Schiffman and James White at Columbia have Juicy J knocking on the Top 25’s door, sitting at #27 and up over 100 spins. They also have Naya Rivera’s “Sorry”—featuring her brand new fiancé, Big Sean—just outside the chart, at #44 and up 141 spins. Krewella’s “Live for the Night” sits at #49. They’re impacting Calvin Harris’ “Thinking About You” in the next few weeks… Epic is doing a great job with Future’s “Honest.” Dixie Tipton and staff have another plus 230-spin week, and go #26-22. They also have TeeFlii’s “This D” jumping #39-35 this week. And be on the lookout for Ciara’s new “Overdose,” which they just released last week, as well as a new track from Yo Gotti f/T.I, “King Sh*t”… And at WB, Lee L’Heureux has Macklemore’s “White Walls” grinding its way up the chart. It goes #13-11 this week, with an increase of 343 spins. He also just missed debuting Jason Derulo’s “Marry Me.” It’s at #41, up 244 spins. It will most certainly debut this week.
