THE BALL STREET JOURNAL

I hope everyone took this past week to unplug, reflect and do a bit of soul searching. It was probably the strangest week I’ve had in my 20 plus years in this business. This past week, there was very little movement and no releases, so this will be a short and to the point column.

Interscope’s Nino Cuccinello has two records inside the Top 5 and both are showing no signs of slowing down. Lil Mosey’s “Blueberry Faygo” is up 100 spins and moves to #3. DaBaby’s “Rockstar” is up over 830 spins and leaps #10-5! This definitely has its sights set on #1. Moneybagg Yo’s “1,2,3” moves up a spot to #32. They’re impacting Juice WRLD’s “Tell Me You Love Me” f/Trippie Redd this week.

Warner’s B Dot Scales has PARTYNEXTDOOR’s “Believe It” f/Rihanna at #6, up 350 spins. The goal is Top 5 at this point. NLE Choppa’s “Walk Em Down” enters the Top 25 thanks to a triple digit gain. He’s also impacting DVSN’s “Dangerous City” f/Ty Dolla $ign this coming week.

Over at Republic, Davey Dee and Garrett Ream have Ariana Grande & Justin Bieber’s “Stuck With U” at #29. They debut Lil Tecca’s “Out of Love” at #39.

RCA’s Lori G and Inca continue to roll with Doja Cat’s “Like That” (Kemosabe). It climbs to #14, thanks to 330-spin increase. Right behind is Chris Brown X Young Thug’s “Go Crazy,” which is up 645 spins and moves up 6 spots on the charts. Mulatto’s “B***h From Da Souf” gets closer to a debut, landing at #46 and is up 75 spins.

Capitol’s Dixie Tipton welcomes Lil Baby’s “Emotionally Scarred” inside the Top 20. He’s up 150 spins. Migos’ “Need It” sees an impressive 410 spin increase and is this weeks highest debut at #27. They’re setting up Ne-Yo & Jeremih’s new “U 2 Luv,” which impacts in the next few weeks.

Over at Epic, Rick Sackheim and Dontay Thompson take Jackboys’ “Out West” (Cactus Jack) inside the Top 10. They also have THE SCOTTS’ “THE SCOTTS” at #12, up 60 spins. Following behind is Young T & Bugsy’s “Don’t Rush” f/Headie One. This one gains 300 spins and is looking to get inside the Top 10 in the next few weeks.

Noah Sheer and Def Jam have Jhene Aiko’s “OTW” at #16, gaining 185 spins. It’s quietly a big record for a number of stations.

John Strazza and James White from team Columbia see Powfu’s “coffee for your head” f/beabadoobee add another 175 spins to the total, landing at #18, while StaySolidRocky’s “Party Girl” leaps #38-30 after an increase of 170 spins.
