THE DIRTIEST PODCAST IN THE LAND
5/3/17

How did foul-mouthed country disruptor Wheeler Walker, Jr. grab the top music podcast spot on iTunes, as well as #1 music-podcast episode? Well, it doesn’t hurt that the gleefully profane troubadour attracts such guests as Chris and Morgane Stapleton, who are featured on his first installment, or Bill Burr, who's the guest on ep 2. (Expect more star appearances to be announced shortly.)

But Walker has attracted a strong following all on his own with his fiery rants and lascivious songs (many of which bear unprintable titles). In old-school parlance, the man works blue—and works hard at it. Indeed, the podcast’s trailer went to #1 at iTunes prior to the series’ 5/2 debut.

Chris Stapleton was among the musical guests on Walker’s breakout 2016 album, Redneck Shit (Pepperhill), which was produced by Dave Cobb. The star-studded follow-up set, Ol’ Wheeler, is due on 6/2.
