PAISLEY SWEETENS TWINKIES LAUNCH
7/6/17

For anyone who thought country music’s food and beverage was limited to whiskey, Coors Light and Cracker Barrel products, think again. Twinkies are going Nashville.

And not just any Twinkie—a new hybrid, Chocolate Peanut Butter Twinkies, will be part of a promotion for Brad Paisley and his latest Sony Music Nashville release Love and War as well as the CMA Awards.

“This partnership is a perfect example of four brands working together to deliver a surprise-and-delight opportunity for the consumer,” said John Zarling, Executive Vice President, Marketing & New Business, Sony Music Nashville. “By aligning Sony Music Nashville’s Brad Paisley, Hostess, Spotify and the Country Music Association into the marketing mix, all parties win. Plus the office is on such a sugar high, we’re getting an incredible amount of work done.”

Select Hostess Twinkies and Donettes will include a code providing access to a 42-song Spotify playlist curated by Paisley and featuring tracks from Love and War. Hostess fans also have the chance to win a trip to the 51st annual CMA Awards in November.

“This partnership also offers a unique opportunity to introduce streaming platforms such as Spotify to more sountry fans who may not yet be exposed to them,” said Damon Whiteside, Chief Marketing Officer, CMA.
