Pubco SMACKSongs packed the house at their first ever writer's night at the Listening Room Café in Nashville 10/11. Hosted by SMACK's partners Shane McAnally and Josh Osbourne, the event featured surprise performances from special guests Walker Hayes and Midland.

The sold-out crowd also saw performances from songwriters Ryan Beaver, Renee Blair, Aaron Eshuis and Kylie Morgan as well as from the hosts themselves. The event was part of a week-long Global Creative Retreat in Nashville and was presented by Kobalt.

FYI: Walker Hayes' “You Broke Up With Me”—from his forthcoming debut album, boom.—is Top 25 and climbing at Country radio. Midland's "Drinking Problem" went #1 in August, and their "Make A Little" is now Top 35. All three songs were heard that night, along with a handful of others, like Kane Brown f/Lauren Alaina's #1 hit "What Ifs," which was performed by SMACKSongs writer Matt McGinn.

Unfortunately, we haven't been able to hear much but high-pitched ringing since a Labor Day Weekend stunt that involved fireworks, Fireball and Jello. Don't try anything at home, kids.
