SERLING ROOKS OPENS SHOP
IN NASHVILLE
5/8/18

Serling Rooks Hunter McKoy & Worob has added a name partner and expanded into Nashville.

Besides adding the name of Craig Averill (right) to the firm’s signs, they’re expanding into Nashville with attorneys Patrick Sabatini (below, left) and J. Reid Hunter heading the office.

Sabatini and Jeffrey Koenig (below, right), a former in-house attorney for Universal Motown Republic Group, have been promoted to partner; Koening remains in New York.

SRHMWA’s current Nashville-based clients include Jamey Johnson, Jason Isbell and Curb Records and the estates of Jerry Reed, Mel Tillis, and others. The firm also represents a significant number of Nashville-based agents, having recently negotiated Scott Clayton's recent move to William Morris Endeavor.

“Our new Nashville office will enable us to better serve those existing clients and to work more closely with the growing number of artists, writers, producers, executives and music and branding companies based in Nashville, while drawing upon the exceptional pool of legal and business talent graduating from the local universities," SRHMWA’s Hunter said.

Meanwhile, Averill will be based in New York. He represents entertainment marketing companies such as Cornerstone and Red Bull Media House, producer-songwriter John Hill, LCD Soundsystem, Phoenix and Interpol.

"From the time Craig became involved with our firm, he has contributed enormously to its growth and organization and I only foresee continued growth in the future," Founder and Senior Partner Joe Serling said.
