Montana and Manilow Go Head-to-Head for #1 on Next Week’s Album Chart, The Who, Meat Loaf, Deftones and Kellie Pickler Bow
Montana vs. Manilow. Who knew?

It’s a battle between the kid diva and the veteran crooner next week as Disney's red-hot Hannah Montana soundtrack goes up against the Copacabana guy’s Arista/RMG album The Greatest Songs of the Sixties on next week’s HITS Album chart.

With a new episode of the Disney Channel smash airing tonight along with three old installments, Hannah Montana could sell between 170-180k.

Manilow is banking on QVC sales to boost his total to between 165-175k, which could go even higher depending on fulfillment of TV orders.

Cash Money/Universal Motown rappers Birdman & Lil’ Wayne could crash the party, too, with a total that looks in the 155-165k range, good for a #3 debut over G.O.O.D./Columbia/Sony Urban Grammy winner John Legend with between 125-135k for his second week on the street.

Legendary rockers The Who release their first new studio album in 24 years, Endless Wire, on Universal Republic, and it appears primed for a Top 5 debut with 90-95k in first-week sales.

Jive/ZLG’s Justin Timberlake (90-95k) and Reprise’s My Chemical Romance (85-90k) are up next, while Virgin’s Meat Loaf bows with an impressive 80-85k for the third installment of his Bat Out of Hell trilogy, thanks to some strong second-day sales action at Wal-Mart.

Maverick/Reprise’s Deftones are back looking for a Top 10 bow in the 80-85k range. American Idol contestant Kellie Pickler’s BNA/Sony BMG Nashville debut will ride several high-profile TV appearances, including Good Morning America and The View, into between 75-80k in sales.

Other debuts include TVT’s Cuban hip-hop star Pitbull, with strong Puerto Rican sales, in the 45-50k area, while Def Jam/IDJ’s U.K. rap phenom Lady Sovereign is targeted for between 15-20k

Hitting the streets on Tuesday are Decca’s Andrea Bocelli, RCA’s Dave Matthews Band and Foo Fighters, Jive/ZLG’s Bowling for Soup, WB’s Josh Groban, Gospocentric/ZLG’s Kirk Franklin, SBMG U.S. Latin’s Ricky Martin, Sony’s Now 23 and Mercury Nashville’s Sugarland.
