iHEART EXAM: Was Justin Bieber the recipient of the worst Grammy-nomination snub? IHeartRadio asked its listeners, and the results may surprise you. According to the Clear Channel webcaster's monthly HeartBeat newsletter, Coldplay was handled most unfairly--21.9% of those surveyed felt the Brit band's Mylo Xyloto ought to have received an Album of the Year nod. 16.5%, meanwhile, were suitably outraged that Carly Rae Jepsen wasn't nominated for Best New Artist, while One Direction's exclusion from the same category earned the ire of 14.3%, nearly two points more than those objecting to the Bieb's non-nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album. Other nuggets from the iHeartRadio Insights poll: Jepsen's pop earworm "Call Me Maybe" was voted 2012's "catchiest song" by 22.7% of participants, trailed by Maroon 5 f/Christina Aguilera "Moves Like Jagger" (19.6%), PSY's ubiquitous "Gangnam Style" (19%), Gotye f/Kimbra "Somebody That I Used to Know" (12.3%), Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" (also 12.3%), fun.'s "Some Nights" (8.5%) and The Lumineers' "Ho Hey" (5.7%). Also, " Gangnam Style" really should've been nominated for Record of the Year, according to 10.1% of respondents. GOOD GOD, do we love polls! You'll find lots of other listener data here. In a related story, Barack Obama's re-election was officially certified today, and 23.1% of Americans believe it's all a Kenyan Muslim socialist hoax. (1/4p)
