NIPPER GOES THREE FOR THREE

Team RCA Scores Third Successive #1 at Alternative Radio

RCA's Joe Riccitelli and Dennis Blair are taking Nipper for a victory lap this week as the label scores its third consecutive #1 at Alternative radio.

Walk the Moon's "Shut Up + Dance" has seized the Modern Rock crown from labelmates Cage the Elephant, whose "Cigarette Daydreams" held the title for four weeks; they in turn assumed the mantle from Roswell/RCA's Foo Fighters, whose "Something From Nothing" was the top track for eight weeks.

This is the first time since 2001, according to the hobbits who archive such things, that a single label has taken the top spot at the format with three successive acts.

Team RCA plans to celebrate by hitting the park and throwing the frisbee around until Joe finally catches it in his mouth.
