Taylor Swift released a second track off her 11/10 album reputation early on Sunday. The new song, "...Ready for It?," rapidly rose to #1 at iTunes, where it remains on Thursday, while her mega-smash "Look What You Made Me Do" holds firm at #2.
The second track, snippets of which were heard during commercials for the Alabama-Florida State Saturday night game on ABC, extends Taylor’s relationship with the network and sister network ESPN, where “LWYMMD” has been used widely during sports broadcasts. “…Ready for It?” is also being used as the theme song for ABC's fall TV season.
The track continues the first single’s eerie electronic vibe in its grinding verses, but transitions dramatically into a Technicolor, major-chord chorus payoff. She's now about as far from her country roots as it's possible to go.
