GRAMMYS GREATEST

Grammys Greatest Stories: A 60th Anniversary Special, a retrospective event highlighting treasured moments of the last 59 years, will be hosted by John Legend and Carrie Underwood, it was just announced. The event will be broadcast on 11/24 at 9pm ET/PT via CBS.

This is definitely a different take on the yearly Recording Academy-presented special, after more narrowly focused programs like Stevie Wonder: Songs In The Key Of Life, The Beatles: The Night That Changed America, Sinatra 100 and Stayin' Alive: A Grammy Salute To The Music Of The Bee Gees.

Viewers can expect rare archival footage and exclusive interviews. So far, we can assume appearances will be made by Christina Aguilera, Mary J. Blige, Celine Dion, Dave Grohl, Elton John, Alicia Keys, Bruno Mars, Chris Martin, Ricky Martin, Paul McCartney, P!nk, Ed Sheeran, Blake Shelton, Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Justin Timberlake, U2, Underwood and Keith Urban.

For insider insight from the man with the plan, Grammys executive producer Ken Ehrlich, check out our just-published conversation with him.
