KROQ'S ALTERNATIVES

Wonderers are wondering about the fate of L.A. Alternative flagship KROQ. While Kevin Weatherly continues to oversee it and Jack-FM, speculation is on the rise after this week's exit of APD/MD Lisa Worden for a major post at iHeart and the prior departure of SVP Programming/PD Gene Sandbloom. Sources say that Entercom is committed to the Alternative format and to KROQ, with corporate meetings scheduled for this weekend to discuss the station’s future as well as expanding the format into other major markets under the merging Entercom-CBS world and format captain Michael Martin.
