EMINEM, JACK WHITE TOP GOVERNORS BALL

A couple of Detroiters, Eminem and Jack White, will headline the seventh annual edition of Governors Ball in New York. The lineup is set save for one covered-over name.

Again produced by Founders Entertainment, which Live Nation took a significant stake in in early 2016, the event will be held 6/2-4 on Randall’s Island Park.

Diplo and Mark Ronson are rolling out their new project, Silk City and Gaslight Anthem will reunite to perform The '59 Sound in its entirety. Post Malone, Russ and Brockhampton (as well as Em) are the only major acts appearing at both Gov Ball and Coachella, whose lineup was announced Tuesday. Tickets go on sale Friday. The festival has upped the VIP amenities to include more craft beer and two 18-hole mini-golf courses.

Naturally, we’re all wondering whose name is covered over between N.E.R.D., who last played NYC in 2010, and Khalid. A cancellation? Surprise announcement? A graphic designer’s arty decision? Stay tuned.
