BRIT AWARDS 2018:
ALL THE NOMINEES

The BRIT Awards 2018 nominations are in, with 19 Sony and Universal acts/releases up for gongs, followed by 15 from Warner and seven in the independent sector. Warner Bros. breakout star Dua Lipa appears in five categories, followed by Atlantic’s Ed Sheeran in four, while J Hus (Black Butter) and Rag’n’Bone Man (Columbia) are up for three awards each.

Including the three Critics' Choice nominees in the overall tallies, the winner of which is independent artist Jorja Smith, UMG's numbers rise to 21 including Polydor acts Stefflon Don and Mabel.

In the imprint stakes, Ferdy-Unger Hamilton’s Columbia has nine acts/releases in the list, Ted Cockle’s Virgin EMI is up for eight and Ben Cook’s Atlantic has seven nods alongside Phil Christie’s Warner Bros.

Album of the Year is a battle between Stormzy Gang Signs and Prayer (#Merky), Rag’n’Bone Man Human, Dua Lipa Dua Lipa, J Hus Common Sense and Ed Sheeran ÷. The contenders for British Female Solo Artist are Dua Lipa, Jessie Ware (Island), Kate Tempest (Fiction), Laura Marling (Kobalt) and Paloma Faith (RCA). British Male Solo Artist will either be Ed Sheeran, Liam Gallagher (Warner Bros.), Loyle Carner (Virgin EMI), Rag’n’Bone Man (Columbia) or Stormzy (#Merky).

Those nominated for British Breakthrough Act are Dave (self-release), Dua Lipa, J Hus, Loyle Carner and Sampha (Young Turks). In the British Group stakes are Gorillaz (Parlophone), London Grammar (Ministry of Sound), Royal Blood (Warner Bros.), Wolf Alice (Dirty Hit) and The xx (Young Turks).

You’ll find the full list below (with international acts appearing alongside their U.K. label), while we ponder why Harry Styles (Columbia) has just one nod in the British Video category. Also, where's Capitol man Sam Smith?
