Otis Redding’s labelmate at Stax, Booker T. Jones, and Ledisi have been added to the bill of Celebrating Otis Redding & 50 Years of “(Sittin’ on) The Dock of the Bay” at New York’s Apollo Theater on 1/25.

The Dap-Kings will be the house band, Whoopi Goldberg emcees and Otis’ sons Otis Redding III and Dexter Redding are on the bill as well.

Proceeds go to The Otis Redding Foundation.

The show is being produced by Jonathan Shank for Red Light Management, Jeff Jampol & Arron Saxe for Jam Management and CEG Presents is the promoter.

Rhino is celebrating the 50th of Redding’s posthumous hit with the 1/24 release of a 7-inch on gold vinyl. NPR did a piece on the song last week.
