THE BIEBS HITS A LONG TREY

Justin Bieber has just become the first artist to pass 1 billion streams with three different tracks on Spotify worldwide. This feat puts the Biebs ahead of Ed Sheeran, who’s done it twice. The first was to hit 10 figures was “Sorry,” while “Love Yourself” and “Despacito” both passed the 1b milestone this week.

As Fortune blogger Hugh McIntyre points out, Bieber is lined up to shatter more records, because both “What Do You Mean?” and his DJ Snake collab “Let Me Love You” are nearing 900m streams, and “ there aren’t any other artists who are even close at the moment to achieving what Bieber has already done or what he seems like he’ll do very soon,” McIntyre notes.
