YOUR MUSICAL VALENTINES

Happy Valentine's Day. Did you get the long-stemmed roses and Godiva truffles? You did? Well, uh, they were... from us?

You know who really did get you something to commemorate this romantic holiday? Ellie Goulding. The Interscope siren has released her lovely cover of the Don McLean perennial "Vincent" as a standalone single, and offered this context on Instagram:

Fans of Josh Groban, meanwhile, can get an exclusive first listen of upcoming single "Symphony"—off his not-yet-released album—today only via Amazon Music's Today in Music show, which Groban is guest-hosting. To tune in, say, “Alexa, enable Today in Music” in the U.S., or head to the Alexa companion app and add Today in Music to your flash briefing.

“In a nutshell, ["Symphony"] is about this crazy business that I’m in," explains Groban. "I’m often traveling, I’m on the road, and sometimes I’ve been lucky to be in a wonderful relationship when I’m doing those things…It’s very hard to stay connected with people when you’re working as hard as sometimes I have to work. And sometimes, you write about it, and want to give that message to the person that you love, in a song form, when the rest won’t do.”

And then there's Interscope rapper Moneybagg Yo, who followed up his 2017 Valentine's Day release, Heartless, with a new project, entitled 2 Heartless. It's romantic AF, yo.

You also got a musical heart from Michelle Obama, who offers you this Spotify playlist, Forever Mine: Michelle to Barack. It may remind you of an era when Valentine's Day was marked by the First Couple celebrating their relationship, rather than the POTUS' lawyer talking about how he paid off a porn star. Anyhoo, the Obamas have really good musical taste. Sigh.
