U.K. MIDWEEKS: TRIO ARRIVES IN TOP 5

As long-running #1s continue to rule, releases from XXXTentacion (Bad Vibes), Fratellis (Cooking Vinyl) and The Decemberists (Rough Trade) are the highest-charting new entries in the U.K.’s Official Albums midweeks. Over on singles, Lil Dicky f/Chris Brown enters at #20 with “Freaky Friday” (BMG).

The Greatest Showman soundtrack (Atlantic) is set for an 11th week at #1 on albums, followed by Ed Sheeran at #2 with ÷ (Atlantic).

? by XXXTentacion enters at #3, while Scottish rock band The Fratellis are set for their highest-charting album in 10 years with In Your Own Sweet Time at #4. The Decemberists are eyeing a career-best in Blighty with I’ll Be Your Girl, currently sitting at #5.

Kim Wilde could be celebrating her first Top 10 album in the U.K. for 30 years this week, as her self-released Here Come the Aliens starts at #9, while Brighton newcomers The Magic Gang open at #10 with their self-titled debut (Warner Bros.).

Over on the Official Singles, Drake is still at #1, as “God’s Plan” (Island) ascends toward #1 for a ninth week, with a lead of 555 sales.

George Ezra is currently this week’s high riser with “Paradise” (Columbia) moving eight places to #4 ahead of the release of his second album, Staying at Tamara’s, on Friday.

Elsewhere, Lil Dicky is set to score this week’s highest new entry at #20, while Zedd f/Maren Morris and Grey’s “The Middle” (Polydor) has climbed two places to #8. “Meant to Be” (Parlophone) by Bebe Rexha f/Florida Georgia Line vaults nine spots to #11.
