Apple Music has hit the 40 million subscribers mark, if a tweet from an exec at the company's French outpost is to be believed. That's 2m new regular customers added in approximately a month, and doesn't include 8m trial subs.
Much has been made of Apple's bid to catch up with Spotify, which currently claims 71m paid subscribers.
Some observers have noted that teaching people over 40 that they have all the recordings in the world in their pockets might also boost those numbers, but hey, don't listen to us.
