NICKI GOES VERTICAL WITH NEW TINGZ

Nicki Minaj returned to the spotlight on 4/12 with two new releases, "Barbie Tingz" and "Chun-Li," after an appearance on Beats 1 Radio with Zane Lowe.

"Barbie Tingz" has an accompanying vertical video only available on Spotify's Rap Caviar playlist. The video is an intimate glimpse into Nicki's daily, capturing studio time and some of her more glamorous power-player moments.

Nicki teased the releases with posts on socials 4/10, which got an explosive response from the Barbz, who have dubbed the release day #NickiDay. You may have noticed it trending on Twitter.

Later, a hint dropped by Young Money via Twitter led fans to expect a third track to arrive sometime after the first two, which Nicki later specified would arrive an hour after "Chun-Li" and "Barbie Tingz." However, we're still waiting for the Young Thug-featured "Hear No Evil" to drop.

These releases mark Nicki's first true solo work since The Pinkprint in 2014, though she collaborated with Drake and Lil Wayne on 2017's "No Frauds" and has had features on tracks with everyone from Fergie and Katy Perry to Migos, Cardi B, Lil Uzi Vert and Yo Gotti.
