JEFF HARLESTON HONORED FOR IMPROVING DIVERSITY

Universal Music Group's General Counsel an EVP Business Affairs, Jeff Harleston, just received the distinctive Association of Corporate Counsel's Diversity Award.

The award was presented to Harleston during the ACC’s 23rd Annual Gala Dinner in Los Angeles on 5/8; it's given out in recognition of leaders within the Southern California legal community who are focused on improving diversity.

“I am honored to accept this award and to be recognized for the role I have been able to play in helping to diversify the legal community in Southern California,” Harleston said. “There continues to be a pressing need for more diversity in the music industry and I’m committed to working with my colleagues to make meaningful change."

In addition to serving as a member of UMG’s senior executive team and the company’s Executive Management Board, Harleston also mentors employees from around the world. He is said to be cultivating an appreciation for scones.
