Kanye West not only hogged the spotlight during the rollout of ye, he also raked in the dough, notching seven of the Top 10 earners on our latest Songs Revenue Chart. It likely would’ve been even more than that had the album contained more than seven tracks.
The only singles from the previous week’s leaderboard to withstand the onslaught were Lil Baby and Drake’s “Yes Indeed,” which got pushed from #1 to #8, and Drizzy’s own “Nice for What,” which dropped seven slots to #9.
But Kanye wasn’t the only story. Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You,” boosted by the presence of Cardi B and an extremely sticky, cameo-laden video, debuted at #6, racking up $169k and change.
As a result of all of the above action, UMG snagged the entire Top 10, a dominant outcome that’s reflected in the marketshare splits.
