PASS THE "TEQUILA"

Warner Music Nashville’s Dan + Shay have become the first duo or group to top both the country album and Country radio charts simultaneously, as their “Tequila” continues to soar and their self-titled full-length enjoys a Top 10 overall bow.

The Jason Owen/Scooter Braun-repped pair’s album garnered 29m streams during its release week (a record for any 2018 country release), while “Tequila," just passed the 150m streams mark. It’s currently Top 10 at iTunes, #1 on our Country Streams Chart and Top 30 on our overall Streaming Songs Chart.

The indefatigable Dan Smyers (who co-penned the tune with fellow Warner/Chappell scribes Nicolle Galyon and Jordan Reynolds) and Shay Mooney have performed their smash on Ellen, the ACMs and the CMT Music Awards, poured out their hearts for iHeart and YouTube special events (see their album-release party for the latter below) and are lining up the shots for fans on the Rascal Flatts tour through the summer, with Chris Young and U.K. dates to follow.

Jason, Scooter and Espo, meanwhile, are still trying to decide between añejo and reposado.
