XXXTentacion’s “SAD!” is once again #1 on our Songs Revenue Chart, Juice WRLD’s “Lucid Dreams” remains #2, and eight of the top earners from the previous week repeated in the week ending 6/28.
The only newcomers to the leaderboard are XXXTentacion’s “Changes” (#13-10), giving the late artist three of the Top 10 moneymakers—his tracks also occupy #11 and 12—and Post Malone’s “Better Now” (#12-9).
During a sales week with no dramatic ups or downs, Maroon 5-Cardi B’s “Girls Like You” (#3-4) held up reasonably well, as did The Carters’ “Apeshit” (#9-8), which dipped just 10% in its second week.
Drake’s Scorpion, designed to dominate with its 25 tracks, should hog close to half the real estate in the Top 50 for the week ending 7/6.
As for what accounts for the significant “Other” in the revenue marketshare tally below, it’s primarily tracks from XXX’s Empire-distributed 2017 album 17.
Marketshare: UMG 66%, Other 14%, WMG 12%, Sony Music 8%
