Queen has seven songs in the iTunes Rock Top 50. At press time, “Bohemian Rhapsody” is #4, while “We Will Rock You” is #6 and “Another One Bites the Dust” rounds out the Top 10. All three are featured in the latest, needle-moving trailer for forthcoming 20th Century Fox film Bohemian Rhapsody, along with “We Are the Champions” (#12). It’s not a bad time to be Hollywood Records’ Ken Bunt.
On the rock album chart, The Platinum Collection (Greatest Hits I, II & III) is #3 and Greatest Hits is #8. When expanded to include all genres, those are #24 and #48, respectively.
The movie—in theaters 11/2—stars Rami Malek as the iconic Freddie Mercury and follows the legendary band from obscurity to mega-stardom, highlighting Mercury’s convention-shattering persona as well as his own battles.
The new clip, which snagged more than 6m YouTube views in less than 48 hours, can be seen below. Meanwhile, from a shower somewhere, Peter Paterno can be heard belting “Scaramouch, Scaramouch, will you do the fandango?!”
