The Top 5 Highest-Grossing Films in America Over the Weekend

Three new releases appeared in the the domestic box office Top 5 this weekend, with Fox's Queen flick, Bohemian Rhapsody, over-performing enough to come out on top, thanks to a $50m bow. Interestingly, at Rotten Tomatoes, the film earned a dismal 59% from critics and an impressive 95% from audiences.

Also impressive is the performance of Warner Bros.' A Star Is Born, another music-driven drama, which only dropped a mere 21% in its fifth week out.

Both films are having an impact at iTunes: Queen's The Platinum Collection (Hollywood) is #2, the Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack is #6 and Queen's Greatest Hits is #7. Interscope's A Star Is Born soundtrack is #3.
