NASHVILLE TSA DINES ON KIND PRINE

John Prine, who has sung about taking time to take care of people in need, turned words into action last week by feeding TSA workers at the Nashville airport.

Prine and his label, Oh Boy Records, bought lunch for the crew showing up to work despite the Trump shutdown of the government, the longest partial government shutdown in U.S. history.

"The Nashville airport is my second home and everyone there always takes care of me," Prine tweeted. "It's nice to be able to do something small for them today."

The Nashville International Airport quoted "Billy the Bum" on Facebook to show their gratitude: " Hope to see you again soon at BNA, where we 'prove we can run twice as fast as the sun by losing our shadow at night.'"

We like to think he was following the advice he proffered in ‘Hello in There”:

“So if you're walking down the street sometime

And spot some hollow ancient eyes

Please don't just pass 'em by and stare

As if you didn't care, say, "Hello in there, hello."
