THE KILLER BEES

The wildest rumors of the moment have been driven by Scooter Braun’s visit to Nashville last week, during which he was seen hanging with Scott Borchetta at Big Machine. Music Row is on fire with speculation about what’s going on with these two mega-entrepreneurs. Are Butch and Sundance riding off into the sunset together? Their prospective collaboration is supposedly much bigger than jointly signing a big act, as we reported Wednesday.

Meanwhile, is someone putting up the cash for these high-powered poker players to take a big stack of chips off the table for their rumored merged business? Could the Raine Group, Carlyle Group or LionTree be the mystery money in such a scenario?

Could Nashvillean and Braun compadre Jason Owen—who’s currently hotter than a fried egg on Georgia asphalt—also be involved?

Stay tuned for more fireworks on this one.
