YOUR WEEKEND
BOX OFFICE

The Top 5 Highest-Grossing Films in America Over the Weekend

This Father's Day Weekend proved to be disappointing at the domestic box office. Sony's Men in Black International—a movie with a $110m budget—debuted at #1, but only managed to pull in $28.5m. The second biggest bow belonged to another under-performer, Warner Bros.' Shaft, which landed at #6 with less than $9m.

For perspective, this time last year, Incredibles 2 broke records with its $182.6m. Next weekend, though, audiences have biggie Toy Story 4 to look forward to.

1. Men in Black International (Sony) $28.5m 4,224/$6,747 avg. (debut)
2. The Secret Life of Pets 2 (Universal) $23.8m 4,564/$5,215 avg. (week 2)
3. Aladdin (Buena Vista) $16.7m 3,556/$4,700 avg. (week 4)
4. Dark Phoenix (Fox) $9.0m 3,721/$2,420 avg. (week 2)
5. Rocketman (Paramount) $8.8m 3,021/$2,913 avg. (week 3)
