LEGACY REVISITS DYLAN'S DAYS AS A NASHVILLE CAT

Unreleased recordings from Bob Dylan’s time in Nashville between 1967 and 1969 comprise the 15th edition of the Bootleg Series. Columbia Records and Legacy Recordings will release the set on 11/1 in three-CD and three-LP configurations.

The 47 tracks on Travelin' Thru, 1967-1969: The Bootleg Series Vol. 15 are previously unavailable recordings made with Johnny Cash and unreleased tracks from the John Wesley Harding, Nashville Skyline and Self Portrait sessions.

Disc one features alternate versions of John Wesley Harding songs recorded in October and November 1967 and Nashville Skyline tunes from February 1969 plus the outtake "Western Road."

The Cash-centric second and third discs include Dylan's collaborations Cash in studio and at the Ryman Auditorium on 5/1/69, when they recorded the premiere episode of ABC’s The Johnny Cash Show. Disc three includes tracks recorded in 1970 for the PBS special Earl Scruggs: His Family and Friends.

Culled from two days of loose jam sessions with a band and Carl Perkins, The Cash-Dylan set includes the first known version of "Wanted Man"—the only time Dylan ever recorded it—and a variety of covers including two Jimmie Rodgers medleys.

To provide a taste, Legacy has released take 4 of "I Pity the Poor Immigrant."
