ROCÍO GUERRERO JOINS AMAZON MUSIC

Latin-music specialist Rocío Guerrero has officially joined Amazon Music as the Global Head of Latin Music. In her newly-created position, Guerrero will be based in New York and report to Ryan Redington, Director of Amazon Music.

Guerrero has earned praise from biz watchers for her tenures at Spotify and WMG. At the Spot, where she served for 7 1/2 years, her most recent post was Head of Global Music Cultures, Shows & Editorial. She has been credited with building the global music expansion strategy, which was instrumental in the globalization of Latin music.

Most recently, she was a senior member of the Warner Music Latin team as VP A&R and Cross-Cultural Strategy.

Of her new role, Rocío said, “I’m thrilled to come back to streaming with Amazon Music, who is poised to have a massive, positive impact on the Latin culture. As Amazon Music continues to expand – there’s so much potential for incredible growth in Latin music, through marketing, artist relationships, programming, and voice with Alexa. I can’t wait to join this impressive, passionate team and begin building onto the incredible work they’ve already done in the culture.”
