SAMII TO THE TOWER

Former Kobalt exec Amanda Samii has been named Senior Vice President of A&R for Capitol Records.

Samii will sign and develop artists for the company as well as oversee recording projects for new and established Capitol artists. She starts 3/2 and will be based in the Tower, reporting to Capitol Records President Jeff Vaughn.

“Amanda is a relentless advocate for creatives,” Vaughn said. Her impressive track record reflects a deep commitment to artist development, which is a passion we share.”

Samii spent 10 years at Kobalt Music Publishing, most recently as Vice President of Creative. She was instrumental in signing Finneas O’Connell, Marshmello Syd, Rogét Chahayed and others.

Samii said, “My passion for music comes from being a fan, first, and the Capitol roster has included some of my favorite artists of all time. Recognizing that rich history, I will strive to sign and work with artists that will shift culture and inspire generations to come.”
