U.K. MIDWEEKS: STREETS PARK AT #1
The Streets are heading for their first #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart in 14 years with mixtape None Of Us Are Getting Out Of This Life Alive (Island). Over on singles, “Come & Go” by Juice WRLD f/Marshmello (Grade A/Interscope) is currently the highest new entry at #10.
The Streets are out in front by almost 3,000 chart sales on today’s midweek update, leading on vinyl sales. Juice WRLD’s posthumous album, Legends Never Die, is #2 and rapidly gaining ground—it’s the most-streamed release so far this week.
Australian rock band DMA’S are heading for a peak position in the U.K. with The Glow (Infectious Music) at #3 after selling the most downloads over the weekend. At #4, Laura Marling’s Song For Our Daughter (Chrysalis) is vying to become her sixth consecutive Top 10 album, having arrived on CD and vinyl on Friday. (It reached #22 when released digitally in April.)
Rufus Wainwright could claim his first U.K. Top 10 album in eight years with Unfollow The Rules (BMG) currently at #9.
On the U.K.'s Official Singles midweeks, “Savage Love (Laxed—Siren Beat)” by Jawsh 685 & Jason Derulo (RCA) is heading for a third stint at #1.
DJ/producer Joel Corry is now on his way to a third Top 10 single in less than a year as latest release “Head & Heart” f/MNEK (Asylum) climbs nine places since Friday to #6. Elsewhere, Ava Max’s “Kings & Queens” (Atlantic) rises another seven places to #15.
