6IX9INE CHATS WITH NYT AHEAD OF TATTLE TALES

Notorious rap figure 6ix9ine is dropping his sophomore album Tattle Tales on Friday via Create Music Group. The album follows a stretch of three songs released since he was granted home confinement in April, where he finished serving his prison sentence. "TROLLZ" f/Nicki Minaj hit #1 in its first week, while the rapper smashed records on Instagram with his highly anticipated return to social media via livestream.

6ix9ine's debut album, Dummy Boy, opened at #2 on the charts with a total of 66k units. The album was released on a Tuesday, charting with only three days of activity. It was a controversial battle for #1, with Travis Scott's Astroworld getting crowned the top spot by Billboard.

In his chat with the New York Times, 6ix9ine discussed being public enemy #1, "How would you feel if I go out there on the ledge and jump off that building and kill myself? That's what society wants me to do."

He also stated he has no regrets on doing business and associating with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods for credibility, even though they robbed him, kidnapped him and he inevitably ended up serving a prison sentence. Now he has fame, money and over a dozen security gurards.

His response when asked about manipulating streams and fraudulent sales figures: "I’ll say the same thing I said to Billboard: Who doesn’t? Everybody inflates their numbers. Ev-er-y-bod-y."
