WRETCH 32 JOINS 0207 DEF JAM

British musician Wretch 32 has joined newly launched UMG U.K. label 0207 Def Jam as Creative Director. The role will see him providing strategic creative advice and helping to shape the musical direction of the label.

“Alongside being an incredible artist, we’re super excited our new label will be able to tap into Wretch 32’s unrivalled creative mind,” 0207 Def Jam Co-President Alec Boateng said. “I've been lucky enough to be close up and witness his ever-evolving genius many times. His creative wisdom and example has been invaluable to so many within the industry and I’m so gassed he’s now officially working with us.”

Wretch 32, aka Jermaine Scott Sinclair, has released five albums, the last three of which have been via Polydor. As a lead artist, he's claimed three Top 5 singles and has won multiple Urban Music Awards and a BET Best International Act honor. In his new role, he will work alongside A&R Director Char Grant and the wider 0207 A&R team.
