TAG THEY'RE IT: SHAZAM'S BIGGEST MOVERS

Shazam users are stepping into the way-back machine as vintage cuts used in Godzilla vs. Kong and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier have thumbs wagging this week.

The Warner Bros. Pictures monster epic lands three oldies among the biggest movers on the Shazam USA Top 100: The Hollies’ 1974 ballad “The Air That I Breathe”; Bobby Vinton’s 1963 version of “Over the Mountain, Across the Sea”; and Elvis Presley’s 1974 take on Tom Jans’ “Loving Arms.”

Shanti Dope’s “Amataz” (Universal), released in 2019, is the youngest song in the Top 5 of the biggest movers. It appeared in an episode of Disney+’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier as did Mel Torme’s 1962 hip cut “Comin’ Home Baby.”

The Torme track is getting attention in Blighty along with a couple of other songs from the late 20th century by John Denver and Ini Kamoze.
