ZOOM ME BY YOUR NAME

As more and more of us schedule our shots, the prospect of in-person socializing—and yes, working—feels more and more tangible. We will doubtless look back on our year-plus of Zoom-only contact as though it were a dream. But some Zooms are just extra-special. Consider this confab of music-industry luminaries, some of them actually wearing pants, who gathered to celebrate the ceaseless impact of Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" remix featuring Billy Ray Cyrus. That record, of course, went super-viral in a good way; exactly two years after its release, the single is officially 14x platinum and the most certified song in recorded music history. Seen toasting this milestone and sharing their very exotic virtual backgrounds are (clockwise from top left) Cyrus, RIAA boss Mitch Glazier, Columbia chieftain Ron Perry and Rebel Management's Adam Leber and Lil Nas X. The latter's newest single, "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)," is currently creating a streaming tsunami of its own.
