STAPLES REOPENS

L.A.’s Staples Center will reopen its doors tonight, allowing 2,000 ticket-holders into the building to watch the Lakers take on the Celtics. There are a lot of new rules…

Chief among them is no bags—and that includes purses—may be brought in from outside, and no food or drink is allowed in the seats.

Technically, Staples Center could open to about 5,000 people, but the arena is choosing to go slow and monitor activity before upping the capacity.

The other rules:

Guests must present a photo ID, and either proof of full vaccination (two weeks since your final dose) or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event date.

All tickets must be on a mobile device.

Only three entrances will be used: Georgia St. and Chick Hearn Ct.; Xbox Plaza; and Figueroa St. and 12th St.

Anyone over the age of 2 is required to wear a face covering over both the nose and mouth at all times. No gaiters, bandanas or coverings with exhalation vents.

Cards only, as cash is no longer accepted. Food and beverages are ordered via a QR code.
