Okay, let’s admit it. One of today’s hot topics surrounds how long awards shows can be, and how painful it is to sit and watch for three, sometimes four hours. But our real problem is that if you don’t watch in real time, you can’t follow along with your social media feeds and snicker at all the comments. We’re also so addicted to our DVRs that, if we can’t fast forward through the boring parts, our lil spoiled brains get bored! You know it’s true. Well, at least we’re almost at the end of this year’s awards season.

Epic’s Team Glassman sure seems to be on fire right now with the launch of Fifth Harmony’s “Work From Home” (SYCO), which moves all the up the chart to #32 after just a few days of airplay, and the impending launch of Meghan Trainor’s “No,” which we had the pleasure of hearing last week. They’ve certainly got a nice string of hits building early in 2016. Zara Larsson & MNEK’s “Never Forget You” is now a Top 20 record and is on over 175 stations already, just as the callout starts to come in. Yo Gotti’s “Down in the DM”—the #6 record at Rhythm—is looking to chart at Pop and is in the Top 20 on Shazam’s USA Top 100.

RCA’s Riccitelli, JR, Daddio and Cooper have two of the fastest moving tracks on the Pop chart this week with G-Eazy f/Bebe Rexha’s “Me, Myself & I” and ZAYN’s “Pillowtalk.” Both were up over 1500 spins this week, and ZAYN looks poised to join G-Eazy in the Top 10. KYGO’s “Stole the Show” pulled in KAMP, WZFT, KLIF and KBFF last week, as it moved up to #35. Sia f/Sean Paul’s “Cheap Thrills” (Monkey Puzzle) pulled in 20 stations out of the box, including KYLD, KMVQ, WODS and KBFF.

Global’s Team Palmese had a huge week on Nathan Sykes f/Ariana Grande’s “Over and Over Again,” which moved up the chart to #34 and pulled in new airplay from SiriusXM’s Hits 1, WBBM, WWWQ, WNKS and WRVQ, just to name a few.

Hollywood’s Finck, Smith and Ennis have 120+ stations in on Shawn Hook’s “Sound of Your Heart,” including Z100, KIIS, WKSC and KRBE. With TV performances stacking up and the airplay that’s coming in, this one shows no signs of slowing down.

Def Jam’s Sackheim, Rothschild & Farag have all but closed out the panel on Rihanna’s “Work” (Westbury Road/Roc Nation), and the track is ready to make the Top 10 jump this week. Close out adds recently came in from KPWK, WWST and WAEB. Also, it’s currently #1 on the Mediabase Power Playlist. Alessia Cara’s “Wild Things” is now Top 25 and on over 135 stations; this week’s adds include KKHH, KRBE, WPRO and WNTQ. Meanwhile, Justin Bieber’s newest single, “Company” (RBMG), is impacting this week and raking in major market commitments after three #1 hits.

Warner Bros.Gray, Dyer, Reich & Shih are impacting Andra Day’s “Rise Up.” Honestly, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t agree with me when I say that she’s one of the great singers of our generation… what an amazing voice. They already have 40+ stations on board prior to impact. Lukas Graham’s “7 Years” pulls in new airplay this week from WDJX, KRBE, XHTZ and WKSE, as the track looks ready to make the Top 20 jump.

Republic’s CW, Spangler & Russell continue to move DNCE’s “Cake by the Ocean” up inside the Top 10. You can’t turn the TV on without hearing that one playing in the background. It’s currently #7, while Top 5 at iTunes. James Bay’s “Let It Go,” which was in the Top 3 Most Added in the first two weeks after impact, just debuted at #38. Zendaya f/Chris Brown’s “Something New” is now Top 30, with Z100, WIOQ, WPOW and WKQI leading the charge. Taylor Swift’s “New Romantics” (Big Machine), which was #1 Most Added last week, debuts at #29. Mike Posner’s “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” (Island) is now Top 15 in airplay, #1 at Shazam, #7 at Spotify and #9 at iTunes. Hailee Steinfeld’s new one, “Rock Bottom,” which features DNCE, impacts this week.

Over at Columbia, Leipsner, Borris & Vaughan are impacting Dillon Francis & KYGO’s “Coming Over” this week, and KAMP, KZON, WQMP and KYLD are all already on the board. Ruth B’s “Lost Boy” is currently chartbound and showing immediate sales following airplay in Indy, Columbus, Salt Lake and DC, among other markets. Rachel Platten’s “Stand By You” is heading Top 20 and posting some very impressive M Scores and sales numbers. The Chainsmokers f/Rozes’ “Roses” (Disruptor), meanwhile, is #4 and certified platinum.

As for Capitol, Rainey, Youngblood & Siciliano have Troye Sivan’s “Youth” Top 25, as the track explodes on Spotify and iTunes, while raking in more than 3m views in three days on YouTube. Duke Dumont’s “Ocean Drive” pulled in mew airplay from WKSC, WBHT, WLDI and KRUF, and is bubbling just under the chart. Impacting this week is Halsey’s “Colors” (Astralwerks). WQEN, WNKS, WXSS and about 15 others are already on the board.

MUSIC WE LOVE: The Chainsmokers f/Daya’s “Don’t Let Me Down” (Disruptor/Columbia), Demi Lovato’s “Stone Cold” (Safehouse/Island/Hollywood).
