RESULTS ARE IN FOR RADIO DISNEY MUSIC AWARDS

Saturday night (4/29) at Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater saw a whirlwind of teeny-bopping with the Radio Disney Music Awards. The highlight of which was the creation of the Icon Award, the first-ever recipient of which was Britney Spears. The award was presented by Britney's younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears in a surprise appearance that also included a tribute performance of the singer's work.

The tribute was a medley of the elder Spears' work, that featured show hosts Kelsea Ballerini and Sophia Carson, who were joined by singer-actress Hailee Steinfeld and finally Jamie Lynn. The women sang segments of "...Baby One More Time", "Circus" and "Till the World Ends" (Jive).

The award show counted over 283 million votes worldwide, which is far more than they've ever counted in the past. Justin Bieber raked in the majority of those votes, taking home awards for "Best Male Artist," "Best Crush Song" and "Best Dance Track."

Other honorees included Alessia Cara for Breakout Artist of the Year; Ballerini, who took home several awards in the Radio Disney Country sections; and Camila Cabello, who received the award for best collaboration for her track with Machine Gun Kelly, "Bad Things" (Bad Boy/Interscope).
