It sure feels like summer’s here already; well, unless you live where it’s still snowing! Station shows and summer tours are all kicking off and it’s hard to find anyone in the office after noon on Friday. Yep, summer is here, and it’s back to the beach for me... Columbia’s Leipsner, Borris and Vaughan have two of the Greatest Gainers on this week’s chart: The Chainsmokers & Coldplay’s “Something Just Like This” (Disruptor), which climbs to #2, and James Arthur’s “Say You Won’t Let Go,” which is now #8. Both were up over 1200 spins. The sales on Rag’N’Bone Man’s “Human” soared this week, as the track climbs to #37 with 130 stations spinning. Both Calvin Harris f/Frank Ocean & Migos’ “Slide” and Harry Styles’ “Sign of the Times” are set to join the Top 10. Train’s “Play That Song” is Top 25 with 130 stations on board and big increases this week from KDIS, KNOU and KQCHWarner Bros.Gray, Dyer, Reich and Shih continue to grow spins on Linkin Park f/Kiiara’s “Heavy,” which is Top 15 and has all but closed out the panel with 180+ stations spinning. Jason Derulo f/Nicki Minaj & Ty Dolla $ign’s “Swalla” (Beluga Heights) is Top 25 this week with help from big spin increases from WXSS, WFLC and WXKS. Dua Lipa “Be the One” is bubbling just under the surface and looking to chart… Epic’s Team Glassman have a runaway smash on their hands with DJ Khaled f/Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance the Rapper & Lil Wayne’s “I’m the One” (We the Best). It’s literally #1 everywhere and has climbed into the Top 20 on the MB chart in just two weeks… S-Curve’s David Nathan continues to grow and add big call letters to AJR’s “Weak.” That’s now on 150+ stations, including new airplay from KRBE, KPWK and KSMBRepublic’s CW, Spangler and Russell had four songs in the Top 10 Most Added last week. Hailee Steinfeld’s “Most Girls” is already on over 100 stations just a few days after impact and should chart next week. Shawn Mendes’ “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” (Island) is Top 25 after just two weeks of airplay, with 40m+ Spotify streams since release. Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee f/Justin Bieber’s “Despacito” (UMLE/RBMG/Def Jam) is #1 U.S. iTunes, #1 Global Spotify and #2 U.S. Shazam. It was also the #5 Greatest Gainer, as it moves Top 25 this week. DNCE f/Nicki Minaj’s “Kissing Strangers” is now Top 30 with over 125 stations spinning in just three weeks. Drake’s “Passionfruit” (YMCMB) is moving in on the Top 15 and is Top 10 U.S. Spotify and Top 20 U.S. Shazam. Julia Michaels’s “Issues” is Top 10 at MB, #11 iTunes and #11 U.S. Shazam. Post Malone f/Quavo’s “Congratulations” is now a platinum single (off a platinum album) and has pulled in 70+ stations on the way to the charting… Hollywood’s Finck, Smith and Ennis have two tracks getting ready to chart: Olivia Holt’s “History,” which has pulled in 40+ stations, including Venus, WWWQ, KQMV and KHTS, and Ocean Park Standoff’s “Good News,” which also has over 40 stations, including WNCI, WZFT and WFLZ... RECORDSJohn Strazza impacted Noah Cyrus’ new “Stay Together” with 31 adds. Now, with 60+ stations spinning the track, it’s working its way to the chart. Early believers include KDIS, WXKS, WZPL and WRVW. There were over a million views on the video in one day… Caroline’s Saturn, Halpern and Holman have Hey Violet’s “Break My Heart” moving up and pulling in majors as they head toward the chart. New airplay is in from WFLC, KMXV, KZHT and WHBQ… Def Jam’s Sackheim, Rothschild and Farag are heading Top 25 with Axwell^Ingrosso f/Kid Ink’s “I Love You.” Some of the majors leading the way are KIIS, WKTU, WBMP and WIOQ. Next up is Iggy Azalea f/Anitta’s “Switch,” which we hear is great… Glassnote’s Nick Petropoulos just pulled in KIIS on Childish Gambino’s “Redbone,” along with KHFI and WWPW. This track is #4 on U.S. Shazam, and sales and streams post immediately after airplay. It’s extremely reactive with the pop audience… Capitol’s Marella, Rainey and Siciliano are impacting Niall Horan’s “Slow Hands” this week, and from the looks of things, it should be the Most Added track at Pop. It’s already #1 at iTunes in 44 countries. Katy Perry f/Migos’ “Bon Appetit” launched last week and it was the #2 Most Added track, pulling in 54 adds. It has already charted. Halsey’s “Now or Never” is now Top 15 on MB and #3 Shazam Future Hits, while very close to closing out the panel. Sam Hunt’s “Body Like a Back Road” (MCA Nashville) debuted this week with help from WBBM, KVIL, WXSS and WIHT. Jon Bellion’s “Overwhelming” is now on 45+ stations and is Top 10 Shazam… RCA’s Riccitelli, JR, Daddio and Cooper have Martin Garrix & Dua Lipa’s “Scared to Be Lonely” heading Top 20 as KVIL, WQMP and KKRZ all come on board. Play-N-Skillz’s “Si Una Vez (If I Once)” (Latium) is ready to chart and early believers include Z90, WODS, WBMP and KVIL. Khalid’s “Location” (Right Hand) is Top 15 U.S. Shazam and Top 15 U.S. Spotify, while headed toward the chart with help from KAMP, KYLD, KUDL and WKQI. Tinashe’s “Flame” pulled in new adds from KHKS, WZFT and WNKS and should chart soon… MUSIC WE LOVE: Skip Marley’s “Calm Down” (Island/Republic), Sigrid’s “Don’t Kill My Vibe” (Island/Republic).
