Nelson, a 10-year veteran of the pubbery, will oversee operations outside the Americas and the U.K., including continental Europe, Southeast Asia, Russia Australia, India, Africa, Turkey, Israel and the Middle East. Nelson has been involved with obtaining regulatory approval for SATV’s acquisition of EMI Music Publishing and building business in key developing territories including China and India.
Henderson praised Nelson’s “wide experience” and “smart, astute and practical approach.”
“As chance would have it, Marty Bandier and I started at Sony/ATV on the same day, so as you can imagine it’s been an exhilarating journey over the last 10 years,” Nelson proclaimed, adding, “Finding a good cigar in some of these territories is no easy feat.”
