RHETT AKINS: SEVEN YEARS, 28 CHART-TOPPERS
9/14/17

Warner/Chappell Nashville's Rhett Akins has a lot to celebrate right now, considering he's had at least one song on Country airplay every week for the last seven years, to say nothing of the 28 #1 songs he's had a hand in since 2010.

The singer/songwriter is currently charting with Easton Corbin's "A Girl Like You" (Mercury Nashville) and is #1 with Dustin Lynch's "Small Town Boy" (Broken Bow). We've got a full list of his Top 40 Country hits from the last seven years below.

Atkins has received 29 BMI awards and six Triple-Play awards, which are given to those who have achieved three #1 singles in a year.

“I write songs I hope people will relate to, so it’s humbling to see these numbers,” said Akins. “It’s also a testament to all the talented artists and co-writers I’ve worked with and to everyone on my team.”

“This unique achievement is further proof that Rhett belongs among country music's all-time greats," said W/C Nashville Prez Ben Vaughn. “Rhett has been shaping the modern-day Country Songbook that we’ve all sung along to each week for the past seven years." Vaughn, seeing an incoming call from us, then cranked up the jukebox and hit "ignore."
