AIMP NY SUMMER SCHOOL IS IN SESSION
8/15/19

The Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) NY Chapter held an event on 8/14 entitled "Songwriting Deals in the Changing Landscape of the Music Business," which took place at ASCAP's office in NYC. Three expert music industry panelists came together to teach which elements songwriters should take into consideration when choosing a publisher, and discussed key variations in rights and obligations in the different types of music publishing contracts.

Seen here before making a coordinated jailbreak for liquid refreshment are (l-r) songwriter Nina Ossoff; AIMP New York Board Member Joyce Dollinger, Esq., of Alter, Kendrick & Baron LLP and Marc Jacobson P.C.; Tiffany R. Almy, Esq., of Rothenberg, Mohr & Binder LLP; and Bea Koramblyum of Downtown Music Publishing.
