KT TUNSTALL CHERRY PICKS THE WAVE
1/12/21

Grammy and Mercury Prize-nominated singer/songwriter KT Tunstall has inked a publishing agreement with Primary Wave.

Under the deal, the pubco has also acquired a 50% share of all royalties from Tunstall’s catalog, including Grammy-nominated “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” and Ivor Novello-winning “Suddenly I See” from her debut album Eye to the Telescope, as well as “Other Side of the World.”

Tunstall will also have access to the pubco’s entire marketing team and publishing infrastructure, which includes Film/TV and digital strategy teams, as well as their licensing and sync departments.

“I have been a fan of KT from the moment I saw her first showcase at Virgin Records in 2005,” shared Primary Wave’s CEO & Founder, Larry Mestel. “KT is a rare songwriting talent who writes songs that move you with a story. We are honored to have her in the family.”

Tunstall added, “It is absolutely re-energizing in today’s challenging music landscape to connect creatively with Primary Wave and to discover our mutual joy for the craft of songwriting, and still hold it in greatest of respect.”
