CHART CHAT
9/29/15

HITS' own Jesse Beer (CliprKid) and Naomi Robin (RockinRobin) jump on the web to discuss the newest adds on the radio charts this week, and you've got an inside look at their chat. Find out what's hot on their radar.

RockinRobin: I never thought I’d say this, but I’m kind of in the mood for Country. Have you heard “Cold Beer Conversation” by living legend, George Strait? It’s a nice break from the Pop-dominated Country chart

CliprKid: Sounds like a classic country song with the steel guitars & simplistic writing. He's battling for the #1 album in the US next week

RockinRobin: Hot damn. I’m also warming up to Sam Hunt’s “Break Up In A Small Town.” Paul Grein thinks he might be nominated for album of the year

CliprKid: Yeah. It’s catchy and def more on the Pop side of Country

RockinRobin: I totally mistook the first verse for being a Drake song. Oops!

CliprKid: I could see that. I really like the new Zac Brown Band song, "Beautiful Drug." It also has some rhythmic/pop elements to it. On the Pop side, I’m into the new Becky G song, "Break a Sweat.” It’s super catchy and a great workout track

RockinRobin: I like this track MUCH more than her previous single. I’m really digging Maroon 5’s sensual “Feelings” that just hit Top 40. His falsetto hits new heights.. Perhaps he’s secretly a castrati? :P

CliprKid: I’m not sure how I feel about it yet, but there’s no doubt Adam Levine is a massive superstar and the ladies love him, so I’m sure they will be gushing over his vocals

RockinRobin: Seems like a lot of ladies are gushing over Ryan Adams' rendition of 1989. Never thought I’d hear a T Swift song on Triple A

CliprKid: While I’m a fan of Ryan, I’m so used to Taylor’s version that it’s taking time for me to adjust to this cover

RockinRobin: I feel you. Did ya notice that Cold War Kids’ “First” just charted on Triple A? Seems like they’re a tad late to the game, as the track is currently #1 at Alt

CliprKid: Better late than never? I guess =) They def weren’t first… See what I did there? Ok, I’ll show myself out...

RockinRobin: Haha. Before you do, can we please fangirl over how sick the new Pentatonix smash, “Can’t Sleep Love,” is?! SO cool to hear a capella on the radio. TBH, I didn’t even realize it was a capella at first. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it hit Top 40 - it’s already #1 on Trending Shazams

CliprKid: Yes, I am OBSESSED with it and def think it has the potential to cross over to Top 40. Shazam has it as #12 on their Future Hits chart too. You have to check out the version with Tink on Youtube. On that note, I am going back to actual work... See ya back at the cesspool
